Wedding Design: Why not?
“Do you guys only do residential design?”
“Can you do office design?”
“How about shop or retail?”
In 2011, we got quite a lot of enquiries about what kind of design we do. However, the “can you” part really bothers me. To us, creativity can go all the way. It can be advertising. It can be interior design or any kind of design. It can be a home, an office, a window display, a logo, an invitation card, or even a sticker.
So now, we did our first wedding venue design, for myself, at Four Seasons Hotel.
The idea was from a “bow tie”, as my wife Kennie loves Hello Kitty very much (but I hate it, as does every other man in Hong Kong). So I modified it and made it a bit more mature, as it was supposed to be a black tie event (or I should say “red” tie in this case). The entrance photo backdrop was inspired by those huge grass mazes in countryside mansions in France, with bow ties as “flower blossoms”. The main stage design was just something I learned from interior design, with our iconic bow tie as the hero.
There is a first time for everything. And we hope you like this little side project from us too.
Happy 2012, everyone!
